Lawmakers and regulators are increasingly calling for auditing of AI and machine learning as part of new supervisory regulations and law. New York City’s HR Law is one of the first to go into effect. The bill will, as of January 2023, require employers and/or hiring vendors to conduct annual bias audits of automated employment decision tools. Employers must display audit results publicly, and candidates need to be informed of the use of automation, as well as have the ability to request an alternative selection process.

Are you ready? This panel of legal and technology experts will cover:

  • What we know about the law so far, and what’s still ambiguous
  • What technical requirements are in the law
  • What companies might need to create an audit report
  • How some companies are thinking about compliance
  • The implications for other AI-related regulations and bills

The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A session where all participants can pose questions and share their perspectives.
